La Paz 2022

December 1, 2022

On September 20th a group of retired LAFD guys lead by retired Fire Inspector Mac Treasure met at LAX. They were on the way to La Paz, BCS, Mexico. It was time once again for the annual fishing trip to La Paz.

We flew to Cabo San Lucas and were met there by our transport vans from Tailhunters International Sportfishing. We drove the roughly two hours back north to La Paz were for the next three days we would board our “Pangas” and fish the waters of La Paz bay and Bahia De Los Muertos.

To say this group has some notable characters is an understatement. Numero uno in that category is Mac Treasure. Mac truly believes that adventure and challenge is still part of retired life.

On our final evening a Margarita goblet was passed around and $350.00 was collected and donated to the LAFD Widows, Orphans and Disabled Firefighters Fund. Many of these men had some very personal and meaningful connections with this fund and the LA Firemen’s Relief Association. A special thanks again to Mac Treasurer for organizing this trip and to Jonathan and Jill Roldan of Tailhunter’s Sportfishing for another memorable trip.
