Generations – Part Cuatro

February 1, 2023

In the January, 2021 edition of The Firemen’s Grapevine, we first published the column entitled “Generations.” We soon started receiving requests for a part two—and we delivered in July of 2021. Interest continued and number tres was published in January of 2022. Well, a few people we missed appeared, and so, without further delay, we present number four. We are happy to see the family tradition continue. Will number five appear in the future? If we get enough interest, we will do our best to bring it to you. For now, for your enjoyment—Generations—Part IV.

Thank you for viewing Generations IV. We hoped you have enjoyed viewing LAFD family history. We apologize for any found mistakes as this is always a very challenging assignment. As mentioned above, if we get enough interest, we will look into a part five. So, if you missed out on the past opportunities to display your family pride, please feel free to submit a family picture, along with the name, final or current rank, and times of service of the concerned members. When or if we get enough submission, we will do our best to get it out to you. Please submit the information electronically or contact us directly and we can help. Send information as following: John Doe. Firefighter III. 1985 to 2020. PLEASE follow this EXACT format. Send picture(s) and information to editor@LAFRA.org.

President’s Message – March 2023

Did you know our lives are run on Roman time? Julius Caesar first introduced the modern calendar in 45 B.C. Subsequently, the name of the months are mainly named after Roman gods. The name March is ultimately derived … Continue Reading about President’s Message – March 2023
