I worked with Oral at 14’s. He was a pleasure to work around, a wealth of knowledge to share with younger members. Every Truck Co carries a “Hogan Bend” that was developed by Oral Members like Oral were the Mentors that we looked up to, I know I did. Rest In Peace my friend you will be missed and remembered.

Oral was a true gentleman. As a kid I first met him at 10’s while visiting my dad. I later had the pleasure of working with him in my second house on probation at 14’s. He was a wealth of knowledge. Thank you sir, Rest in Peace.

I also work at 14’s when Oral was there. He was a special kind of guy. I didn’t ever see him get mad or flustered. no matter who the Captain was or who the rookie was. He was a fine gentleman.

Oral was an A/O on the other shift at FS 14 when I was a Fireman there in the mid-1970’s. He was helpful to everyone, a real gentleman and a joy to have around the station. RIP Oral.
