The global spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) is creating high interest in how online care can help with screening and treatment of this new disease outbreak and reduce risk of exposure. We want to remind our Members that you have access to Telehealth benefits through LiveHealth Online. LiveHealth Online is available for services to evaluate COVID-19, as well as, other common medical health conditions (flu, cold, sinus infection, pink eye, etc.) LiveHealth Online visits will be free of cost for Relief Members enrolled in the Relief PPO Plan for a period of time. Members, not enrolled in the Relief PPO Plan, can access LiveHealthOnline for $59.00 per visit.
LiveHealth Online / Screening & Treatment for COVID-19
The doctors you see using LiveHealth Online use risk assessments based on guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization. They assess for symptoms such as fever, cough, and shortness of breath. They will also ask you about your recent travel or contact with people who have been traveling or who may have the infection. While a diagnosis of COVID-19 cannot be confirmed virtually at this point, LiveHealth Online care teams can evaluate your risk for the condition, answer your questions, and recommend next steps. They can also help coordinate referrals for in-person care, if necessary. If your telehealth provider suspects you are at medium or high risk for COVID-19, he or she will outline immediate treatment steps and refer you for in-person care. If you are at low or no risk, the provider will work with you on home care or other treatments.
