Though I only worked with Jack for a short time, I was deeply pleased to have discovered his sense of humor, and the insight he offered to the generations of LAFD members who followed. While he may have considered his career to be largely routine, the stories he offered (often with an initial sense of reluctance), were a fitting reminder that our agency and vocation is not about what we do, but who we do it with.
Rest in Peace Jack.
I worked with Jack at OCD (Metro) for 2 years. Great guy, really smart, and he taught me a lot. My condolences to the Broyles family.
