I’ve known Louie since high school, and we became good friends after we reconnected on the fire department. Louie was the primary reason that I was able to promote to Fireboat Pilot, because of his tutoring and encouragement. I am forever grateful to him. Louie’s wife Gloria and my wife Doris were close friends and the four of us enjoyed many good times together. My deepest sympathy to his family and especially to Janet and Steve. May God rest you my good friend.
Dearest Janet and Steve , I just found out about Louie today, I am so sorry for your loss. I have such great memories as a child visiting your home in Lomita. My deepest sympathy to all of you from the Raines family.
As one of the many cousins it was always such fun to get together and swim and have dinner together.
Your parents were so kind to us children and especially during the holidays and birthdays.
One of my memories was a Saturday when the all the parents went away from the house and Dana was in charge. Steve and I somehow got out the dirt bikes and were riding them up and down the long driveway. Our parents came home and caught us and Louie was suppose to take me into the garage and spank me. But he told me to never do it again and told me to pretend like he punished me.
Louie was the kindest sweetest person who always took the time to be kind and helpful.
I will miss your sweet smile and kindness always to me and my family. God Bless you all. April Raines-Symonds
