Terry Waters says
In 1975, my first house out of the Drill Tower was F.S. 2, where I was fortunate to work with Jeff. He took me under his wing and taught me so much about life in a Fire Station. Everything thing from how to cook, to forcible entry. I have great memories his calm demeanor, great firefighting skills, and his ability to always put together a great meal.
Thanks Jeff.
Sue Willey and Family says
Thank you Terry for expressing your kind thoughts and memories!
Jim Polzer says
I worked with Jeff at 25’s back in ‘84. Jeff was quite the character. He kept the crew laughing all day. Thanks for the memories RIP brother.
Sue Willey and Family says
Thank you Jim! Yes! Jeff had that same effect on his family as well!
Bruce Frashure says
Worked with Jeff when I was a rookie at FS 64B back in the stone age. He was our PC and part of (at the time, anyway) the tallest truck company in the City. Always had a great sense of humor and was a patient teacher in addition to being an old school truckie. RIP.

Thank you Bruce! Jeff’s first love was always LAFD and being a fireman! He so looked forward to his monthly Grapevine and lunch with the fire laddies at Rodrigo”s!
Bob Munoa says
Worked around Jeff for many years. He was a regular member of the Inland Empire Lunch Club, I enjoyed visiting with him. Many stories and memories. The Munoa Family sends condolences to the Wiley Family. Rest In Peace my friend.
Sue Willey and Family says
Thank you Bob! Those lunches became so very important to Jeff and he hated to miss them!
Mike Littleton says
I was sorry to hear of Jeff’s passing. He and I went through the Training Academy together (2/10/68) and we both went to Batt. 13 on different shifts after graduation from the Academy. We were both assigned to old
FS 66 at one point after we got off probation and would periodically ride the ambulance together. We ran some very interesting and challenging calls. Jeff was a great partner who was able to calm the patient in a way I was never able to. Rest in Peace my friend.
Sue Willey and Family says
Thank you Mike! Jeff always loved to tell the stories of that time you spoke of and believe it or not he could remember names, and places for a lot of those calls!
Chris Hare says
Sorry to hear of Jeff’s passing. He was my relief at 17’s. He always had a good story and a lot of fun. I remember Jeff climbing out of the bucket after the first night of the Riots. He looked like hell. He handed me his Radio and said you’re not gonna believe it, have fun.
He was the cook on the B shift and was old school, meat and gravy and potatoes. Good stuff. The younger guys, tofu and chicken breast crowd, saw blocks of lard and butter on the counter and thought they were gonna die. We had a picture of Jeff leaning against a pallet of lard at the Dodger Dog fire in Vernon.
Thanks for the good times Jeff. Rest in peace.
Sue Willey and Family says
Thank you so much Chris! Jeff spoke fondly over the years and remembered those “good times” with so much love and respect for you and all his LAFD brothers.
