I worked with Ed in Battalion 13 as a rookie. He was always happy and ready to learn and take on any task . Always a pleasure to be around. RIP friend

Ed was the kindest gentleman. Soft spoken and always though8t and helpful. I met him in retirement rather than on the Department. We’ve shared camping and friends though church. He always made Char and I feel special with his warm and caring words. We were so fortunate to have met Ed and Mary..
Dale Bayless says
I loved working with Ed, when he was an engineer I am sure he got so frustrated with me and then he was always a gentleman to me, so level headed. Rip Brother.
Vance A Boos says
Ed was one of the nicest guys I ever worked with. My wife and I remember him well from the times when he was an Engineer. He was also a great teacher and helper to the guys who were studying for the Engineers exam. RIP Ed!!!!
Chris Hare says
Sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. He was an Engineer at my first house and I really respected his advice and direction. He had a knack for mentoring a young guy that was out of control at high speed. He was that man that made our job great. Thank you for your direction and humor Ed, you made the job fun. Rest in peace friend.
Bob Munoa says

Larry Bickly says
So sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. He and I were engineers together at 75’s. I could always count on Ed to do the right thing in the station and at an incident. It was great working with him. He and I studied for captain together and had some great conversations in the locker room. He was a very kind, helpful and wise man. RIP Ed….
Bill Binder says
There isn’t enough kind words to describe Ed. His passing saddens all that had the pleasure
to know him.
Dave Rowley says
Ed has a special place in my heart. Sorry for your loss Mary dear. He was a an original! Ed, Scott, and I studied for Captain during the WeckTech years. We were dumass engineers with lots of streetwise knowledge watching buildings burn and listening to the command that wouldn’t look up at the fire who choose keep their heads into radios and not listening to their S/A’s. (Thanks Bubba!) Scott, Ed, and I committed and made Captain on our first pass. Scott, Ed, and I had the experience from that best job in the world engineer’s job to become pretty good Captains. Miss you my friend and God speed!

I worked with Ed at 75’s and he was my relief at 92’s. He was always a joy to be around both on and off duty. Enjoyed your wit my friend . God speed , keep a place up there for us.
