Butchie, I’m going to miss you. If you called him Conrad, you didn’t know him. To work for/with Butch was an experience. His sense of humor and wit was amazing. I met Butch in early 1975 in S. Central and liked him way back then. Some people didn’t….. their loss. He was proud of 90s and Helitac. He worked hard at making us good. We traveled with the Marcione’s to Mexico, Canada, Italy, Ireland, England, Argentina I can go on and on. Butch was also one of our Harley riders and we traveled all over the U S . So to say that you will be missed is an understatement. God bless you Butch, Rest In Peace my Friend. David L Lowe

From the Concours d’Elegance car show at Pebble Beach to taking a lap in his Marmon on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, as well as many Harley trips of the western US and Canada! We’ll never forget our Portland to Portland Harley trip. Oh, and don’t forget river rafting trips and cruises across the globe, we did it all with the Marcione’s. Butch was a great family man, enjoying his grandkids to the MAX! I shared the front office at FS 90’s with Butch and no one was better at time keeping and paperwork. Not too many people understood the depth of Butch’s knowledge: motorcycles, cars, heavy equipment and don’t forget home design and building…He was the “go to guy” for help with anything. He will be missed by anyone who took the time to get to know him. The Laur Family will miss Butch very, very, much!! RIP our friend….Randy Laur

As David said above, if you called him Conrad, you didn’t know Butch. I first met him at 90 when I worked in the Battalion, but didn’t get to know him until later when he moved to Nevada a couple of miles from my home. He and his wife Susie became great friends and had we had a lot of fun together. Butch was a guy who would drop whatever he was doing to help out when ever. He will be missed by Sharon and I. RIP my friend.

I first met Butch when I came to 90’s as a Part-time Pilot/Fireman. As such, with his legendary disdain for pilots, I had the odds stacked against me for earning any favor with Butch from the get-go. As time passed, I wore through that gruff exterior and earned a place on his crew. With that breakthrough, I found a top-notch Skipper, craftsman, excellent helicopter crewman and fun Harley-riding buddy. I too, enjoyed the cross-country motorcycle trips with Butch and Sue, Christmas parties, houseboat trips, and the list goes on. Never one to be caught posing or smiling in a picture, Butch reveled in photo-bombing any stranger’s pictures, popping up just at the close of the shutter with that goofy toothy grin. His skill as a craftsman is matched only by Susie’s eye for decorating if you have ever seen one of the houses they built in Agoura and Garnerville. He was the go-to guy for any construction question. Gonna miss you, Buddy. God’s got a Michelob Ultra in the freezer waiting for you—on it’s side, 10 minutes. No more, no less.

Went to Canoga Park HS with Butch and graduated together in 1962. Got out of the service In ‘67 and ran into Butch at old 72’s. Got me interested in the job. Never worked with him but ran in to him over the years. Always a good guy. Rest In Peace my friend. Terry Depackh

I was honored to call Butchie DAD!!! I couldnt ask for a better role model. I want to thank all his brothers that worked with him for covering his shifts so that he could come to ALL my softball games. Thank you for coming to our house on Stunt Rd to dig all mud out of our flooded home. I was a kid and blown away that all these firmen came to our house to help. I remember asking my mom why and she said this is your extended family. He had so much knowledge to share. His Fireman family meant the world to my parents. Thank you for all the kind words you shared in my dads honor. Love to all Andrisanos/Marcione
