The Las Vegas shooting on Sunday night turned out to be the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history and has affected so many people in our area. Confusion, numbness, shock, and anger are normal reactions to this type of event, especially in the days and weeks following the trauma.
Whether you were at the event and experienced the trauma first hand or whether you know of someone injured or killed, talking about it in a safe atmosphere can be incredibly beneficial for the body, mind, and soul.
To assist those affected by the tragedy in Las Vegas, The Relief Association is teaming up with licensed therapist, Lyndee M. Venosta. Our priority is giving people a place where they can cry and express emotions and begin to process what has happened in a way that is safe and comfortable.
We are offering group sessions to talk about and process the event. Individual processing and debriefing sessions may also be offered with Lyndee at the Relief Association with advanced notice. (Please contact Lyndee Venosta directly for times and availability.)
While it may be incredibly difficult to make sense of or to comprehend this horrific event at this time, be patient with yourself and the process; there is a lot of healing that needs to take place.
