Founded on the principals of duty, honor and service the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen’s Fund began in 1906 as firefighters helping firefighters.  While nearly half of all donors still are firefighters, the other half is all of you, the amazing members of our wonderful community. 

 Thanks to your kindness and generosity the charity is able to carry out its mission and help those in need.

Over the years, several groups and organizations have put on a variety of fundraising events to help the brave men and women who sacrifice so much, yet never ask for anything in return.

All of our firefighters are deeply honored by your hard work and dedication and thank you for your efforts.

The BOOT BRIGADE is a collection of volunteers dedicated to helping raise money for the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen’s Fund. These amazing people generously volunteer their time and talents to collect donations, secure raffle and auction prizes, food and beverage sponsors and put on a variety of special fundraisers. Events include the annual LAFD Golf Invitational, the Hope for Firefighters cook off and muster game competition, the Firefighters Picnic and Regatta, the Holiday Dinner, Dance & Casino Royale, various 5K runs and more.
