Bill had an infectious smile and a pleasant chuckle. He was always a pleasure to talk to.
I am saddened to learn of hits death.
Just the mention of his name gives me a warm grin and fond memories.
He exemplified the good leader. I always knew where I stood with him.
My heart goes out to his family and very close friends.
I am a Marine. On the battlefield the question is, “who would you want in that fox hole with you”?
Let it be Bill Burmester
Steve Ascher
I worked with bill in arson for a few years and then in batt. 10 until he retired. I dont know why but bill seemed to like me because i was not afraid to do my job. Bill was a born leader and has left us to soon. He fought a hell of a battle with the big C and it finally got him, rest in peace bill, you will be missed. My condolances to mary and all his kids and his grandchildren.
While Bill and I never worked together, we were very good friends. Our families lived a couple of blocks apart in Thousand Oaks, and we helped each other with many at home projects. I am sure he will be missed by many.
