Vaughn always tried to run tight ship, but with guys like Mikey, Henry, and Davey, and the other cast of characters who worked there; it was certainly hard to do! He was known as the Ayatola Swansanola, but I don’t think anybody told him that to his face; as the quiet giant could just crush you. He almost crushed Henry once when he caught him disconnecting the T.V. feed, just before the “gold report” was broadcasted at noon.
Back then, without the technology that we have today, that was your one chance to hear how that part of the market was doing. Seems Vaughn was heavily invested in precious metals when the Hunt Brothers were running up the silver market, and Cap could barely get through the rest of the day without knowing where he stood. When he caught Henry in the act, with cable in hand…the chase was on!! Rest in peace, Sir, you deserve it.
