Ted taught me a lot as a young fireman at 10’s. I remember how fearlessly he led the way up the 35 and into above ground apartment fires. He could do it all and I wanted to be just like him someday. Always that welcoming great smile and ready to help anyone. RIP my friend.
I was rookie at 27’s and found the crazies there. Ted (butcher bird) Foor riding a creeper across the apparatus floor being propelled by a blower. I heard that he had ridden a motorcycle up the front stairs. When he a Nunally got together anything could happen. I was terrified when they invited me to play poker upstairs in the locker room . He did everything full blast. Rest in peace . Tim, sorry for your loss.
Worked with Ted at FS 27-C back in the ’70s, a Great guy and always fun to work with, A lot of water was thrown in those days but you could never catch Ted with wet hands, Was an honor to work with him, RSP Ted.
