On Friday February 13th, 2015, it took 55 firefighters more than two hours to knock down a fire in Encino. First companies on scene reported a one-story single family dwelling with heavy fire and smoke showing. Firefighters soon found sever pack rat conditions. All firefighters were ordered out of the home and an exterior attack was put in place. Two people were removed from the home by CHP officers before LAFD arrival. Both victims were transported to a local hospital in fair condition. Cause is under investigation.
