I am very saddened to hear of Steve’s passing. One of the many great characters during my time at Fire Station 64, in the early to middle 80’s. Steve was affectionally known as “Buster” because when he was emphatic in what he had to say, he would start off with, “Listen hear Buster!” Throughout our careers when I would bump into Steve, I would always start off the conversation with a stern, “Listen hear Buster.” We would always have a good laugh and catch up on old times and family. My condolences to Steve’s Family.

Great memories from our days at FS 64. I remember those too and when Steve rescued a kitten during an incident and he named it Buster. He also drew cartoons for grapevine magazine.

Engh was one of the A/O’s at FS-64 during the early 1980’s. He was always very conscientious and a calm presence at fires and in the locker room. His most iconic drawing was 64’s logo, which is still in use 40 years later. RIP
