Bob was one of the nicest guys you could ever work with or know. I had the Good Fortune of being his podmate when he came to ’80s and then when he retired. Bob love building little sailboats and he continued doing that when he retired and moved up to Oregon and then moved to Washington. He suffered from a bad heart and eventually was a heart transplant recipient. Happy sailing to you Bob sail on.

I had the pleasure to work with Bob several times as our careers crossed paths through the years. He was always positive to work with 0n and off duty. He was a very competent Engineer and safe apparatus driver. I recall when he and Anette lived in the foothills of Carpinteria. They were a great couple! He and fellow members of FS-105-A gave me a helping hand putting the roof on my home near Gaviota. It turned out to be one of the hottest days on the coast and I failed to have enough beer to quench the very thirsty crew! RIP Bob.

It was 1981 when I had the pleasure of working with Bob at FS105… he was a good man, who will be missed. RIP
