Wow… Another good one gone too soon. Although I was never assigned with Ray, I knew of him to be a fine and well respected officer, a good friend, and fun loving Fire Hogs M/C member. He was just one of those all-around “good guys” you enjoyed being around. Sincere condolences to his family and crews. Rest in Peace Ray… until we ride again.
Chris Hare says
As the shocking news of Ray’s passing sunk in the memory’s of hunting trips in the Rocky and the laughs we had on SOD days hit me. This is a huge loss of a good man. Rest in peace brother.
Nicholas A Garcia says
Another good Firefighter gone to soon.
We worked together at 14’s, what a great attitude around the engine house, especially when we drilled as a company or with rookies. He was very informative
sharing his time to help them out. He was always looking out for the crew to handle any job needing to be done at incidents.
The Dept. will surely miss you. I’m sure your son Nick will carry on your high work ethic and be a outstanding firefighter like his dad.

Ray was a classmate, although we were never assigned together, we would run into each other at incidents, training, and SOD days. As far back as our days at the drill tower, I remember Ray being calm, steady, having a friendly demeanor, and someone you wanted to hang out with. Ray you will be greatly missed. Thank you for your friendship! Praying God’s peace, that passes understanding, and comfort for family and friends.
