On February 15, 2014, a woman riding in the Hanson Dam Rec. area was thrown from her horse near Sheldon St. Fellow riders carried her to the base of a large concrete abutment close to 60 feet high. Engine 24 and Task Force 74 set up the aerial for a litter basket operation and the woman, after being treated for a broken leg and other injuries, was placed in the litter basked and lifter to the road above.
