Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters

December 1, 2020

Every October, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation sponsors the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, the official national tribute to those firefighters who died in the line of duty during the previous year. In 2020, they invited fire departments and fire service organizations to participate in Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters. This year, Los Angeles City took up the cause by participating in the event. From LAX and Hollywood to Downtown, during the dates of September 27 – October 4, 2020, lights around the City began to change from their traditional light source, to that of red to honor America’s fallen bravest. Pictured are this year participates who sent in photos. Thank you to all that made the effort to participate. If you missed out this time, mark your calendar for next year to show the sacrifices made by our brave men and women will never be forgotten.
