A good man ,quiet and solid. Took care of the business at hand always .Represented the LAFD well and his mission to the public. An outstanding example of what being a firefighter represents.

I can’t believe this. A man of solid rock. Has gone above and beyond. I consider Jose Perez my hero and my brother. Jose you touched so many live in South Central Los Angeles with your professionalism and the respect you gave to each patient you helped. LAFD has lost a great soldier. JOB WELL DONE JOB WELL DONE.Gonna miss you so much my friend. I will always remember the talks and fun we had together. It hurts inside that you are gone. But I’ll always remember the friendship we had. GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN. JOSE PEREZ RIP BROTHER

You were one of my first rookies I had as a new Captain. You made my job easy as you were an outstanding firefighter as well as an outstanding individual. Rest in peace Jose in Gods eternal light, my prayers for your family for comfort and peace as we mourn for such a good man.
