Bob Munoa says
Captain Taylor worked at FS 15 when I was a young FF at 14’s in the 70’s. I got to know him over those years and always had a lot of respect for him. I had met Tom and he had worked at 14’s just before I got there, the guys at 14’s had a lot of good things to say about him. Got to know Jeff a few years later, always had a lot of respect for the Taylor men. The Munoa Family send our condolences to the Jeff and the Taylor Family.
Mike Ross says
Jeff, you were also a great example and a good mentor. I always enjoyed working around you and all the banter at 10s and 98s. My dad worked with Tom in B14 and always spoke highly of him. Our family wishes you are condolences. God bless.
Buck Buchanan says
Captain Taylor was my last captain at 15’s before I left for the County. He along with other members at 15’s came to my graduation in 1979.
A skilled fire ground commander. George took care of and stood up for his folks when necessary. I think he was something of a father figure to me.
I stole some of his officer traits to use in my career.
We occasionally spoke over the years, and I’m thankful we did so about 3 days from his passing.
George will be reunited with his son Tom and his old partner Les Hawkes.
