My father was at station #87, in the San Fernando Valley, for many years, before retiring out of station #8. His family, was FD, clear back to the “horse & buggy” days, continuing, through current times. All his life, no matter where he was, when he heard FD sirens, He would always say, “Go get ’em boys!”. He had quite a life, and quite a legacy!
