Gone way to soon, I worked with Fred, at 80’s, very good person, on and off the job. You will be missed.

Very sad to hear of Fred passing. Fred was fireman at 11’s and I was at 10;s we both had a year and a cup of coffee on the job, we would see each other almost every shift at fires or out in our districts. He was a very good fireman and promoted quickly to AO. Our paths met few years later we were reliefs for couple years. Enjoyed every minute of making relief with him. Besides the normal Rig talk he always had a good story about something funny , or he we talked about family. Fred loved his family.
Fred til will meet again my friend, RIP Freddy

My condolences to the Ramsey family. Fred was a truly talented individual I.E. a solid A/O, mister fix it, great tile setter and an amazing cook! I had the privilege of calling him friend but also got to watch as he did his job as the Truck Operator, constantly improving the “Turds” he was given to drive. Always had a reason for what he did and was very helpful when I was studying for A/O., spending hours and hours with me on the road. I will always be thankful! When my son had go pick a fire academy to attend I knew I wanted him to go to Santa Ana Fire Academy because i knew Fred and Les Hunt were instructors there., he needed to learn from the best. Fred you were an inspiration to all you came in contact with.

Fred was an awesome friend and Firefighter, I had the privilege of working with Fred at FS 95C and 80C he was always the best at whatever the task. Off the job he was fun and always ready to try new ideas…..we went to Van Nuys Harley Davidson after playing golf and both ordered “Firefighter Special Road Kings” he of course tricked his out to the max. Fun times with Fred at work and off the job will always be cherished.
My sincere condolences to the Ramsey family for their loss.
