I had a short stint at tens, Freddy and Don Bair were great engineers and a lot of fun. I especially remember the meat mounds.
Freddy will be remembered and Rest In Peace.
I had the pleasure of working with Freddie at Fire Station 49 for a number of years. He was one of those individuals that everyone liked, always willing to help and consistently reliable.
His contributions to the team were consistent and he’ll be missed.
The golden days of 10’s, my all time favourite assignment. Freddy Haarman, Don (Fozzie) Bair, Billy Arvin, the All American Lanealo, Bobby V (Fickett), Auto Fireman Jake, Captain Pete, Willy Thost, and the “Snake.” Outstanding BC’s like Bob Ewert, and of course AC Donald F. Anthony.
Those were the best of all times.
The golden day’s of 10’s.
Freddy Haarman, Don (Fozzie) Bair, Billy Arvin, The “ALL AMERICAN LANE-A-Lo, Chicky Baby, “Bobby V” Fickett, Auto Fireman Jake, Captain Pete, Willy Thost, The Snake, Bob Ewert, Don Anthony and a whole host of gg’s, the kitchen bell, it all goes on and on.
