The Behavioral Health Program (BHP) has been approved to provide an LAFD-sponsored event aimed at improving the health and wellness of our membership. We are initiating ‘Wellness Days’, an event that will address the increasing stresses and demands of our members, and that will also further support organizational goals.

The goals of the Wellness Days event are:

Goal 1: Improve and promote health, mental fitness, and overall well-being through preventative care, while destigmatizing and increasing engagement with BHP.

Goal 2: Heighten job satisfaction while reducing stress and preventing burnout.

Goal 3: Increase workplace morale through leadership support around engaging in activities that facilitate interaction among firefighters outside the day-to-day work grind.
