Sick & Injury NIOD

The Relief Fund provides compensation for members who become sick or injured in situations not connected with normal duty (NIOD) as follows:

1. May receive a weekly benefit of $70 upon proof that they have been unable to perform any gainful occupation or duty because of a disability caused by illness or injury. A (20) week maximum of $1,400 total benefits per injury or illness will be paid see By-Laws (Section 4209)

2. While on "Leave No Pay," the Relief Fund will provide a sum equal to a fully paid firefighter's base pay for a period not to exceed (18) months see By-Laws (Section 4215)

Relief membership dues are deducted each pay period with automatic deduction approval.
