Financial Assistance
To qualify for financial assistance through the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen's Fund, a nonprofit 501(3)(c), you must fill out an application, which will be reviewed by a committee of the Los Angeles Firemen's relief Association Trustees. All requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. Once your application has been reviewed, you will be contacted regarding your request.
When applying for financial assistance, it is important to follow these steps to ensure your application will be processed.
- Download Financial Assistance form.
- Contact Member Services. *Do not mail in form without contacting Member Services first.
- Before calling be advised you may need to have specific documents on-hand, such as recent pay stubs, W-2s, IRS Form 1040, etc.
- Send application by deadline date below.
- Once an applications is deemed complete by Member Services, it then goes to the Committee for approval. *Members will be notified at that time if they are approved for assistance.
