The Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen's Fund is a 104-year-old nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity, dedicated to helping the families of firefighters facing a serious crisis, such as being injured or killed in the line of duty.

Your kind and generous contributions make a significant impact, providing comfort and security to those who need it most. Donations provide much needed medical care for firefighters suffering from duty-related cancers, lung disease and heart problems and help the families of deceased firefighters meet basic needs.

In 2009, your donations also provided a college scholarship to the daughter of Firefighter/Lead Paramedic who was killed in a tragic, on-duty incident. Words cannot express how deeply grateful all of our firefighter families are for your continued support.

Thank you for being
a true hero to a hero!

A Fallen Hero

While battling a fire in the Hollywood Hills area, Los Angeles Firefighter Glenn Allen and five others were injured from a collapsed ceiling of the home. To make a donation to the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen's Fund in his honor, use the online form.

Soaring Generosity

The relationship between the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen's Fund and Farmers Insurance began in 2010 through an event with the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks. Farmers and the Sparks organized a police/firefighter day. After recruiting members from the LAFD, LA County Fire Dept., LA Sheriff's and LAPD to fill the seats of the Staples Center and to participate in a dribble and shoot contest, Farmers Insurance learned of the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen's Fund.
