This year, the Los Angeles Firemen’s Relief Association was proud to present scholarships to six young, smart and driven students to help them as they start on their college careers and the next stage of their lives
Emily Vidovich – Leo Najarian Memorial Scholarship
Emily will be attending George Washington University to study at the nationally-ranked Elliott School of International Affairs. She was also accepted into the Honor’s program. She hopes to pursue a career in the State Department, the United Nations, or an international charity.
Mackinzie Moncibais – Bill Goss Scholarship
Mackinze plans to attend a junior college for her first semester and will then transfer to College of the Canyons where she will take advantage of their teaching program.
Grant Kitahata – Relief Scholarship
Grant plans to get both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in mechanical engineering. He will be attending the University Institute of Technology.
Noah Killian – Relief Scholarship
After spending the past seven years involved in programming and robotics, Noah will be attending Cal-Poly Pomona in the fall. His major is Electrical Engineering. His plan after college is to become a software developer.
Beth Hovey – Relief Scholarship
A member of the Santa Clarita Christian School CIF championship volleyball team, Beth plans to attend College of the Canyons in the fall to pursue liberal studies. Her dream is to become a history teacher.
Emma Tsujimura – Relief Scholarship
Emma will be majoring in Physical Biology at UC Santa Cruz and plans to go into premed. After completing her undergraduate studies, she intends to go to medical school to complete her goal of becoming a doctor.
